What we collect, and why.

The short version
We collect your email address so we can send you the newsletter. We measure which pages and ads bring people in. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t send your email address to anyone in a readable form.
What you give us
- Your email address — required, so we can send you the newsletter.
- Optional answers — your name, your role, how comfortable you are with AI, and what you want to get out of it. Every one of these is skippable, and skipping them doesn’t change what you receive.
Who else touches it
- beehiiv stores the subscriber list and sends the emails. They process it on our instructions — see beehiiv’s privacy policy.
- Railway and Cloudflare host and serve this site.
- Google Analytics tells us which pages people read. We don’t send it your email address.
- Meta — see below.
Advertising and the Meta pixel
This site runs the Meta pixel. It records that a page was viewed and that a signup happened, so we can tell which ads actually work.
When you subscribe, our server also reports that signup to Meta directly. That report includes a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address — a scrambled fingerprint used only to match the signup to an ad click. Your actual email address is never sent to Meta.
We also use a hashed copy of our subscriber list to exclude existing subscribers from our ads, so we’re not paying to advertise to people who already read the newsletter.
You can control how Meta uses data about you in your Meta ad preferences. Blocking trackers in your browser, or using an ad blocker, prevents the pixel from loading and does not affect your subscription in any way.
Cookies
- _fbp, _fbc — set by Meta, to attribute a signup to an ad.
- _ga and related — set by Google Analytics.
- hero_ab, gate_ab — ours. They keep the page layout consistent for you when we’re testing two versions. No personal data.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe — every email has a one-click link. It works immediately.
- Delete your data — email [email protected] and we’ll remove you from the list and from any advertising audience.
- Ask what we hold — same address.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share your email address with sponsors.
