Something Big Agent: privacy
Last updated 9 October 2026 · Something Big, LLC
This page says what happens to your information when you have a Something Big Agent. Our general privacy policy (somethingbig.ai/privacy) also applies.
What it is. A Something Big Agent is an AI that works for you by email and text message. Each owner has one agent of their own. It has an email address of its own, with the name you chose, a computer of its own and a web browser of its own.
Its email address. Anyone can write to your agent, and it can write to anyone. Emails to and from that address are kept in your agent’s inbox at the email provider that runs the address, until you delete your agent. Anyone your agent writes to from it sees that address.
Its computer. Your agent’s computer runs at a hosted-computer provider. What your agent reads, writes and saves is kept there, and in a copy made each day so it can be put back. The AI that does the thinking is run by an AI model provider: what your agent works on is sent to it. What your agent read or wrote down stays on its computer, and in up to three daily copies of it, until you delete your agent. If the AI model provider’s safety systems flag a conversation, it may keep what was in it for up to 2 years, even after we delete it.
Your accounts, if you connect them. You can connect Gmail, Google Calendar and other services. Each is its own connection, with that service’s own screen. With Gmail, your agent acts on what you ask without checking with you first: it can read everything in your mailbox, including sign-in codes and password-reset emails, write, reply and send as you, and label, archive and move email to the trash. It is not given your contacts and cannot read them. It cannot delete email for good or change your Gmail settings, such as forwarding and filters. When you connect Gmail, Google’s own screen names our connections provider and asks you to allow one thing, with one box: all of your Gmail (“Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail”). Google also shares your email address, name and picture with the connection. That is the access the connection is given; we use it only for your agent’s work. Google’s line says “permanently delete” because that is how the permission is worded; we block that one act. With Google Calendar, it can see, make, change and delete events on your calendar. For other services you connect, what it may do is set by what that service’s own screen asks you to allow, so read that screen. The connection to Google is held for us by a connections provider, which keeps a copy of what passes through it for up to a year.
Websites. Your agent’s browser runs at a hosted-browser provider. It browses the web there and may open accounts of its own on websites, with its own address; the passwords for those are kept in its files on its computer. We give it no way to sign in to your own accounts on websites, and you should never give it your passwords.
The risk you take. Your agent reads email and web pages written by other people. Something written to trick it could make it send, change or copy what it can reach: your email and calendar, the accounts it opened, the files on its computer. Because it can read sign-in codes and password-reset emails in a mailbox you connect, it could also be led to get into your other accounts. It could also leave something on its computer that keeps doing so. We limit what it can reach to what is yours, you can disconnect an account at any time, and we stop your agent when you ask; we cannot prevent it.
How we use it. We use what your agent handles only to do your agent’s work for you. It is never used for advertising, never shared with sponsors or data providers, and never used to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Stopping and deleting. To stop or delete your agent, write to hello@somethingbig.ai from the email address you signed up with. We do both by hand. Stopping turns off its computer and ends its browser sessions. Deleting removes its computer and the copies, its inbox at the email provider, its browser’s saved sessions and our connections to your Google account; we write to you when each of those is done. You can disconnect an account yourself on your agent’s page at any time; that removes the connection and deletes no email. Some things are not ours to delete: emails your agent sent stay with the people it sent them to; accounts it opened stay with the websites they were opened on; the connections provider keeps its record for up to a year; and the AI model provider may keep a flagged conversation for up to 2 years. If your plan ends, your agent works until the end of the month you paid for; then it stops, we email you the date on which it will be deleted, and on that date we delete what we hold in the same way.
What we hold about you as its owner. The email address you signed up with, your phone number if you give it to us, and your agent’s name; and, if you pay for a plan, the record of it at our payment provider, which takes your card: we never see your card number. We use the address you signed up with to know which emails to your agent come from its owner.
Your choices. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted, at hello@somethingbig.ai. If you ask which companies handle your agent’s data, we tell you their names.
