Claude Design is in beta for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. Enterprise access is off by default unless enabled. Open claude.ai/design on the web or find Design in Claude Desktop. Design activity now uses the shared Claude usage allowance; older guides describing a separate weekly allowance are outdated.

Bring the brand—and the facts

Design can build from an imported design system. The official setup guide accepts sources such as existing components, a representative deck, and brand assets. Check the resulting colors, type, and components before relying on them across projects; imported material can be incomplete or inconsistent.

Create a second packet for evidence: verified features, service scope, approved customer quotations, pricing if applicable, and the real destination of the main call to action. If you have no proof asset, say so. Empty space is preferable to a made-up customer logo or invented performance statistic.

Give the first version one business job

Our fictional example is HarborOps, an operations consultancy for founders of service businesses. The page’s purpose is to explain a process review and help a suitable visitor request a conversation. It is not trying to sell a course, recruit employees, and explain every service at once.

Use this prompt: “Design a landing-page concept for HarborOps. Audience: founders of service businesses with 10–50 people who struggle with handoffs and unclear ownership. Main action: request a process-review conversation. Explain who the review is for, what information the client brings, what the conversation covers, and the next step. Use the supplied brand references. No invented clients, testimonials, savings claims, prices, or deadlines.”

Finish the brief with constraints: “Produce a mobile and desktop layout. Keep the main action easy to find after the offer is explained. Use a labeled placeholder for the destination until I provide the approved link. Mark any missing factual content for review. Start with the structure and actual copy before decorative effects.”

Choose an export, then inspect the thing you exported

Available exports include HTML, PDF, PPTX, and a project ZIP; Design also supports Canva and Code handoff. Choose according to the next person’s job. A PDF is useful for reviewing a fixed document; HTML can preserve interactive work; a deck needs inspection in the presentation app where it will be used.

For a landing page, a working-looking form is not proof that a submission reaches your system. Production work still needs a real destination, permission and privacy decisions, input validation, success and failure behavior, and end-to-end verification. Ask the person implementing it to show a completed test rather than a screenshot.

Before you get started

Do I need a design background?

You can begin with a plain-language brief. Business judgment still matters: you must choose the audience, supply true claims, decide what the next step should be, and review the result. Start with one output and one reader.

Is Claude Design the same as Claude for PowerPoint?

No. Design is a visual project workspace with several output formats. Claude for PowerPoint works inside PowerPoint. If your main job is editing an existing company deck in that application, see our PowerPoint guide before choosing the workflow.
